Crossing East: The Post '65 Generation

The Immigration Act of 1965, allowed Asian family members, entrepreneurs and skilled workers to immigrate to the U.S. Each Asian group found a special field of work and offered their expertise and skills to a burgeoning economy. Tune in Wednesday, July 4th, at 8:30pm for Crossing East: The Post '65 Generation.

In this program, several Asian families discuss their experiences of arriving, striving, and succeeding in this country. Immigrants in the U.S. own motels, restaurants and grocery stores, and many of our medical staff have come from Asia to fill nursing and doctor shortages.
