KFAI Community Radio is proud to announce that A-list guitarist and Americana songwriter Molly Maher will do a rare solo performance as part of a June 4th benefit concert happening at St. Paul's historic Landmark Center, which will feature the finest female folk/Americana talent from Texas to Minnesota. Also joining the bill will be funky vocal group Prairie Fire Lady Choir, who perform a fun mix of a cappella pop and folk songs by artists like Prince, Magnetic Fields, Jeremy Messersmith and Aby Wolf.

Headlining the show will be Red House recording artist Carrie Elkin from Austin, TX. Championed by KFAI's Womenfolk show, Carrie returns to the Twin Cities to deliver her sweet, earthy songs that float between folk and alt-country. The radio-charting talent has emerged as one of the defining new voices in the world of Texas singer-songwriters, being celebrated by Texas Music Magazine as one of their artists of the year. Also performing will be the Minneapolis-based Mother Banjo Band, fronted by KFAI DJ Ellen Stanley. Called an "outstanding poet" (Inside Bluegrass), she was a Midwest Finalist for the prestigious Mountain Stage NewSong Contest and has been featured nationally on Sirius/XM Radio and CMT.com. She has toured around the country and shared the stage with Carrie Elkin several times.

A fun night of musical collaborations, the concert will begin at 7:30 pm with a social hour at 6:30, giving audiences a chance to mingle with the artists and KFAI DJs over wine and beer. Drink sales and ticket proceeds benefit KFAI.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door and are available now through Eventbrite.
