Deanna StandingCloud, Denise Johnson, Keith Secola on FIRST PERSON RADIO 7/26/17

Join Laura Waterman Wittstock on Wednesday July 26 at 9 am as she catches up on a previously planned program with Denise Nelson and Deanna Rae StandingCloud, with special guest Keith Secola. They will all be in the 4th Annual Owamni Falling Water Festival. this Saturday, July 29. The free family event celebration brings together indigineous culture with music, art, food, and exhibitor booths. Performers include Hoka Hey Drum Group, Bluedog, Frank Waln, and Keith Secola. 

Deanna Rae StandingCloud is a member of the Red Lake Nation of Anishinaabe as well as a decendant of the Lakota Nation, StandingCloud is an emerging community leader, utilizing Indigenous culture, language, arts and teachings as a catalyst to continuously develop collaborative pedagogy to promote wellness and education in Native communities.

Native folk & blues rocker Keith Secola is an accomplished artist: award-winning musician, guitarist and native flute player; singer, songwriter, and producer. His music is familiar to thousands of fans across North America and Europe. Keith's famous song,"NDN KARS” is considered the contemporary Native American anthem and is the most requested song on Native radio in the US and Canada. Keith Secola is Anishinabe (Ojibwa) originally from the Mesabi Iron Range country of northern Minnesota, now residing in Arizona. He is a member of the Anishinabe Nation of northern Minnesota and southern Ontario,Canada.
